Blueberry Muffin and Plucky

These are two of my favorite My Little Pony characters that I created - Blueberry Muffin and her daughter, Plucky! I saw them in my old deviantart account gallery and immediately had this idea pop into my head. I thought, why not draw it? I could use the practice! So here they are! And here's a little story to go along with it. ^_^

Blueberry Muffin heard the bell hanging on her front door jangle loudly as somepony shoved open the door. The baker checked the timer for her latest batch of muffins before walking out into the cafe-style portion of her home and business. A young lilac colored filly was stomping across the wooden floor, angrily shoving aside any chairs that got into her way. One chair got an especially nasty shove, causing it to clatter over backwards.

"Plucky!" Blueberry gasped. "What in all of Equestria has you so angry that you feel the need to abuse my chairs?"

Her daughter stopped abruptly and then stared at the ground away from Blueberry. "Nothing."

Blueberry sighed inwardly. "Plucky, come here."

Reluctantly, the young filly walked over to her mother and sat down in front of her with a frown. "What?"

The mare sat down, reached out, and pulled Plucky to her for a tight hug.

Plucky struggled and said, "Mom! Stop it! A bear hug isn't going to make me feel better."

Blueberry didn't let go. "Tell me what's the matter, and I'll stop hugging you! Please?"

The filly sighed loudly. "Fine. I'm...I'm...angry that I don't have my cutie mark yet! Bubble's already got hers. Why not me?"

"Oh, Plucky!" Blueberry gave her daughter one last squeeze before letting go. "I know you feel left out because your best friend has already gotten her cutie mark, but you really just have to be patient. And I know you're tired of hearing that, but there's nothing else to it."

Plucky looked up at Blueberry. "But I don't want to wait."

Blueberry smiled. "I'll tell you what. Why don't we make a list of all the things your special talent might be, and you can try them all. With my supervision, of course."

"Really?" Plucky finally smiled. "You'd really let me do that?"

Blueberry wrapped an arm around her daughter's shoulders and winked. "Yes, of course! Because that's exactly how I found my special talent!"
